  Found in Embers (Astrid Stone Book 1): Fun, fast paced read!
This is the first book I’ve finished in years.  I’ve been in quite a reading slump for many reasons…so, I just want to say thank you to this author for reigniting that passion.That may sound overly dramatic, but this pulled me in immediately, kept me interested in the plot and the characters, and moved fast.There were a few places where I felt like I was missing pieces, a few holes here and there, and because of that I was going to rate it 3.8. But I rounded it up to 4 because it was just so freaking fun to read!I can’t wait until the next book, where I’m sure those missing pieces will come together.Well done!

  Found in Embers (Astrid Stone Book 1): Fun UF/portal fantasy
I always think I don't like urban fantasy/portal-type stories, and then I read books like this and wonder why I think that. This might make me rethink it, actually! This was such a fun, quick read with likable and complex characters, a cool magic system, and some unexpected twists. Astrid was easy to care for, and I liked how her focus remained on her sister for the whole story (as opposed to some books that start out with someone trying to find a family member and then forgetting about them when a love interest comes along).   Found in Embers (Astrid Stone Book 1): Leaves you wanting more
This is my first time reading a book of this nature. I’m usually a murder mystery girl but was looking to branch out and I’m so glad I did and chose this book. It really pulled me in. I didn’t feel like it was too rushed or too far drawn out. The love and bond between Astrid and her sister was beautifully written. I can’t wait for the the next in this trilogy and see what adventures Astrid encounters next.

If you want a fun book for an easy, but exciting read, I highly recommend this book! It flows well, the characters are very relatable and the story keeps you engaged. If you like Marissa Meyer, you will enjoy this author's writing! I can't wait to read book number two!

The magic in the story line kept me intrigued and wanting to know what was going to happen next! I loved the bond of family and friends that was mixed in the story. I’m definitely rooting for what I hope 🤞 will be a great couple!! Can’t wait for the next book!!

  Found in Embers (Astrid Stone Book 1): REALLY fun book….A must read!
Found in Embers was so fast paced it was hard to put it down. More details could have been given but I actually enjoyed the fast paced story that evolved quickly and took unexpected turns that kept you engaged the whole time.
